The truth about the lost city of the Amazon
In a quiet, secluded area of a busy city in Canada, Aryan was sitting by the window in his room, looking at an old map. It was raining heavily outside, lightning flashing in the sky. Old books, a compass, a few pictures, and a strange leather envelope were spread across the table in his room.
He found the envelope in his grandfather's old box.
His grandfather was an explorer. He spoke very little towards the end of his life. But one day before his death, he held Aryan's hand and said...
"There is a city deep in the Amazon jungle... People think of it only as a story. But the city really exists now."
At that time, Aryan laughed. But today, seeing the map and some strange signs in front of him, he couldn't laugh anymore.
Just then, there was a knock on the door.
As soon as he opened the door, Maya stood there with her wet hands in her hands.
Maya is not only Aryan's lover, she is also an archaeological researcher. His insatiable curiosity about mysteries and ancient civilizations.
“You said on the phone that it was urgent, what happened?” Maya asked as she entered.
Aryan slowly handed the leather envelope to Maya.
Maya opened the envelope and saw an old photo inside. In the photo, a few people were standing in front of a huge stone door. Strange symbols were carved on the door.
On the back of the photo, it said...
“Zeratha — The Lost Truth.”
Maya’s eyes widened.
“Where did you find this?”
“In my grandfather’s box.”
Maya looked at the map on the table and said,
“Do you know that the story of a lost city deep in the Amazon has been going on for many years? Many people have disappeared while searching for it.”
Aryan said quietly,
“I know I’ll go to see that city.”
Maya was silent for a moment. Then she smiled softly.
“Then I’ll go too.”
