Nocturnal Smell


Mac loved adventures from childhood. He had a strange attraction to mountains, rivers, forests, unknown places. But that tension will one day take him to a place where people once go and never come back like before. He never thought that.

That afternoon, Mac went out alone into the "Darkwood" forest surrounded by mountains. There were many rumors about the place. The villagers said that a strange smell wafted from the depths of the forest at night. Anyone who followed that smell never returned.

Mac dismissed these as superstitions.

At first, everything was fine. The birdsong, the sound of the wind, the movement of the leaves on the trees. All in all, a beautiful atmosphere. But as he entered the depths of the forest, he realized that the path no longer felt familiar.

At some point, the mobile network went out. The compass also started spinning strangely. Mac looked around. All the trees looked the same. There were no familiar signs anywhere. The sun was starting to set. It didn't take long for darkness to descend into the forest.
