Quicksand
A beach on the west coast, called “Black Shore”. Just hearing the name gives a cold feeling in the chest. During the day, the place is quiet, filled with the sound of waves, and after dusk, the whole area seems to be covered in the darkness of death.
In the past year, seven tourists have disappeared here. None have returned. The police report reads
“Death by drowning in Quicksand”.
But the strange thing is, no bodies have ever been found. The responsibility of investigating this mystery fell on the famous detective John Matthews and his assistant David.
It was ten thirty at night. John was sitting in his office reading files. It was raining outside. David was standing by the window with a cup of coffee in his hand.
“Seven people disappeared,” John said slowly, “and every time it’s the same story. Quicksand.”
