Inaccessible Valley
A remote mountainous region in the northeast of Afghanistan. Surrounded by gray stone mountains, deep canyons, and snow-capped peaks. The place is called “Darwaz Valley.” Locals avoid the place because strange things happen there at night. Some say the spirits of dead warriors roam, others say a cursed force lives inside the mountains.
But German tourist Eric Hansen didn’t believe in these stories. He was a travel blogger. His job was to travel to dangerous and mysterious places and make videos. He came to Afghanistan to capture the beauty of that mountain valley.
He was accompanied by a local driver, Hamid. A middle-aged, calm-natured man. However, he initially refused to go when he heard the name of Darwaz Valley.
“Sir, we have to leave that place before evening,”
Hamid said as he drove.
Eric smiled and said,
“Do you really believe in ghosts?”
Hamid looked at him with serious eyes.
“What I believe is not a big deal. But many of those who spent the night there never returned.”
Eric laughed it off.
