James slowly came over and sat down next to her and asked, "What are you thinking?" Sophia smiled a little and said, "I'm thinking... if we had a baby, maybe I would be sitting there with him in my arms today."

His voice trembled. James was silent for a moment, then gently took her hand and said, "Life doesn't give us everything... but it always finds a way to give us something new."

Sophia looked at him in surprise. James paused and said, can't we do something that will bring light to someone else's life? Can't we take an orphan child as our own?

Hearing the proposal, Sofia fell silent. A shadow of fear, hesitation and hope was playing in his eyes together. After a while he said slowly, do you really want it?

James smiled softly, I just want you to smile again. This is what touched Sophia's heart. He slowly put his head on James' shoulder. If you are by my side… I can live again, she whispered.

After that day a new decision started in their lives. They went to an orphanage and decided to adopt a small child from there.

The child was very young, scared and silent. There was an unknown fear in his eyes, as if his trust in the world was not yet formed.
